We are happy to invite you to our first London seminar where our partner Daniel Jaffe will be presenting on the 11th of June at 7pm in a Clerkenwell location.

The seminar is aimed at those US citizens who have not been fulfilling their IRS filing obligations and now want to discover what the issues and implications are and what you need to do to become compliant. He will answer the following  questions, and more:
  • Do I need to file any IRS returns at all?
  • Will I owe tax if I file my returns to become compliant?
  • What other filing requirements are there that I should be aware of?
  • If I file now, what kind of penalties will I incur?
  • I received a FATCA letter from my bank, is the IRS going to knock on my door tomorrow?
  • Do I need to file back for all of the 30 years that I have been living in the UK?
  • I have heard that there is some sort of amnesty to file returns?
  • I have heard horror stories of FBAR penalties etc., should I move to Antarctica and hide from the IRS instead?
  • This all makes me want to give up my citizenship, what does that involve?

He will discuss the main principals of US tax for expats living in the UK as well as go through the Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures and the process of and rules regarding renunciation. To date, Daniel has helped well over 200 non-filing taxpayers become compliant with the IRS.
